The first Annual Alexa's Butterfly tournament was a huge success. We would like to thank all our sponsors, golfers, and volunteers that made this event such a hugh success.
Although the heat was an unexpected arrival for the September outing, the golfers remained focused and enjoyed the day. Each golfer was sent off with their own lunch pack supplied by Ravitz ShopRite. Plenty of drinks were supplied thoughout the day to make sure the golfers keep their cool. We didn't hear too many....FOURs...ha ha!
There were plenty of opportunities for our golfers to come home with some big prizes. The tournament had 3 hole-in-ones that could have brought home a new car. Along with the cars, there were also a $15,000 and $2,500 cash hole-in-ones. As told by one of the golfers, "This tournament had so much to offer the golfers. Not only were we out there to support transforming lives for children and families suffering from pediatric cancer, but the tournament was fun, had so much to offer the golfers, and we really enjoyed it. The VIP packages sold at registration made it great to get involved in all the activites without a distraction to the game. We really appreicated the cold towells that were sent around - they really cared about us!"
The tournament ended with a dinner reception for all the golfers. There was a great silent auction that offered everything from "pick your own 2009 Phillies Club House Seats" sponsored by W.B.Mason to autographed sports items supplied by B.C. Sports.

Trophies were given to the top 3 teams. There were also trophies for the "Most Honest Golfers." The tournament had all of the goodies - putting contest, closest to the hole, and longest drive. The top three teams of the day were:
#1 HOLMAN AUTOMOTIVE - Team #2

The challenge is open for next year. Marc Concannon won closest to the pin and Kurt Foster won the putting contest. It was really close. Who knows what will happen next year.
Besides the golfers and sponsors, this event could not have happened without our volunteers. The foundation would like to thank everyone that helped to make this event happen. We know it is not so easy to sit and watch a "Hole-in-One" for the day. We really appreciate all the efforts of everyone from the registration desk, to hole watchers, and 50/50 ticket sellers. This was a joint effort and together you made it a success.
Thanks to everyone for making our first annual "Alexa's Butterfly Tournament" such a success! We hope to see everyone and more next year!
Thank You Everyone! Together we are transforming lives.
